The following Scooter Share companies are permitted by SFMTA to operate within San Francisco:
- Lime up to 2,000 scooters
- Spin up to 2,000 scooters
To report a shared scooter ridden improperly or unsafely, e.g. on a sidewalk, weaving in & out of traffic, etc.
- Call 3-1-1 or
- Complete the Regulated Mobility Feedback Form
To report a shared scooter blocking the pedestrian walkway or not parked according to the parking requirements
- Call 3-1-1 or
- Complete the Blocked Pedestrian Walkway
For all reporting options, please provide the following whenever possible
- Scooter Company
- Scooter Number
- Date & Time of the Incident
- Location of the Incident
- A brief physical description of the rider
SFMTA deploys field Investigators to respond to 311 and other constituent complaints about scooters. SFMTA Investigators are authorized to issue parking citations to scooter share companies for devices not parked according to the parking requirements.
